- 3 tbsps yeast
- 20 egg yolks
- 1 tsp salt
- 1-1/2 cups whole milk
- 14 tbsps melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsps brandy (or rum)
- 6 cups all purpose flour
Scald milk and pour into mixer bowl – let cool slightly. Add 1 cup flour and mix well.
Sprinkle yeast over top and mix well. Cover and let sit for 1/2 hour.
