Gingerbread Dog Cookies

  • 3 cups flour (can use all purpose or wheat)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup molasses or dark corn syrup

Mix altogether to form a dough – if too dry, add a bit of water

Place in refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Roll out, cut into shapes and bake at 325 for 15-20 minutes

If you want a crunchier cookie, leave in the oven longer.

You can now decorate with royal icing if desired.
