Dough
- 2-1/4 cups cake flour
- 1-1/2 tsps. baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg or apple pie spice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsps. soft butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sour cream
In a bowl, mix together the flour, powder, salt and spice.

Place all in a cup, mix well and let sit till foamy.
Using your danish, roll out to approx 1/4″ thickness. Cut rounds and cut small holes in centers. Cover and let rise about 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
Heat oil (I use canola) to 350 degrees. Fry approx 2-3 minutes per side. Take out and drain. While still warm, roll in sugar or cinnamon sugar.
